Allan has over thirty years of experience in a variety of healthcare organizations; including academic medical centers, not-for-profit healthcare systems, for-profit healthcare companies, as well as consulting. The majority of his experience has been in outpatient and ambulatory care settings. Prior to joining GatesMoore, Allan was a senior executive with a ten hospital health system and served as the CEO of one of the largest and most successful hospital sponsored physician medical groups in the country. This group included approximately 200 physicians in over twenty specialties. He has also served as the President of an emergency room physician staffing company. Allan has developed a number of ancillary service companies including hospice, diagnostic centers, cancer centers, fitness centers, and DME. He has expertise in acquisitions, mergers and network development enabling organizations to grow their market share and geographic outreach.
Allan is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives having served on a local ACHE Regents Advisory Committee and as National Chairman for the Healthcare Executive Group Committee. He holds an MPH and MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
